School Counseling Services

Collaborating with the students’ families and with school staff, our mental health team provides support to students in the school setting. Counseling staff provide social, emotional, and behavioral support and are available for crisis interventions.

The Falls Care Center – Behavioral Health Services through The Health Department of Northwest Michigan*
  • Mental Health Assessments and Treatment Plans
  • Individual, Group and Family Therapy
  • Services are provided at no cost to families, although insurance companies will be billed. 
  • Parental permission must be given for therapy to be provided (unless the student is 14 years old, then permission is preferred). 


The School-based health programs through the Health Department of Northwest Michigan support students, their families, and school staff to promote health and wellness in the school environment.  Availability of services may vary between school buildings and are based on program model.
